Can a herniated disc with nerve impingement cause back pain?

Hello doctor,

For the past five months, I have been suffering from back pain. One morning, I woke up with pain in my back and could not move. I had to rest for a week and used medications for one and a half months. I was feeling better when I took the medicines. Also, I am doing regular exercises like mckenzie, pelvic tilt, bridging, knee to chest, and cat camel since the last three months. However, the pain and stiffness have not subsided.

Kindly help.

Is it possible to treat severe scoliosis unresponsive to bone marrow transplant?

Hello doctor,

My sister is suffering from scoliosis. She has a curve in her backbone towards the right side, and the backbone is touching the heart. Half of her body (legs) is fully paralyzed. The doctors informed us that she has a maximum life span of 2 to 3 years. A few years ago, doctors had advised a bone marrow transplant, but nothing was observed after that. Is it possible to cure her disease and save her?

Can physiotherapy heal diastasis recti?

Hello doctor,

I am a 31-year-old woman in good health. 11 weeks ago, I gave birth through C-section, after a tough pregnancy with complete bed rest for seven months. Walking to the bathroom was the only exercise I got. After birth, I noticed that I was left with diastasis recti of about 2.5 cm in width. It is mainly around the belly button around 5 to 6 cm in length. I also get that ridge-like protrusion when I contract the abdominals. I started a kinesiotherapy program to strengthen the core and back muscles, specifically for diastasis. I will go three times a week for a 45 minutes session each time. Can physiotherapy heal (close) my diastasis? And if so, then how long does it usually take to see the results? I am willing to keep with the program for as long as it takes, but I also want to know if I should be optimistic about regaining my pre-pregnancy shape. Thank you.

I have constant body pain and weakness. What could be the reason?

Hi doctor,

My arms and legs hurt every time I move around too much or, stand too long or lift my hand. I cannot even do exercises, because my muscles burn when I try to do some exercise. My knees also hurt when I stand too long or carry weight. My knees hurt and give a twig-breaking sound when I bend them. I also have back pain. A few months ago, the area of tail bone started aching whenever I sit down. The pain has lessened now. I am 25 years old and have been with these problems since I was 21, and I feel like I am 125. I have met a general practitioner and had some scans. He said that my bone structure was fine, and my spine was a little curvy at the end. He told me that it was probably a nerve caught in between my bones and had worn out over time. He advised me to meet an orthodontist. Could you advise me on what I should do further?
