Is it safe to give Levolin syrup to a 3-year-old with cold?

Hi doctor,

My 3 year old baby is suffering with cold and cough. Our doctor suggested her Budecort and Asthalin. I am giving them for the last one week, but no improvement. Shall I give Levolin syrup?

Why does a 5-month-old baby not eat and vomit if she eats?

Hello doctor,

My daughter is 5 months old. She vomits up everything she eats. She did not eat anything from mid-morning. We tried giving her some baby oatmeal and she would not even eat at all. We gave her that in the evening after trying her usual 6 oz bottle that she did not take even an ounce of it. She went to sleep at 11 last night and did not get up today until afternoon even after I tried waking her all morning. Her soft spot seems fine. This has been going on for about a week now. I took her to the doctor and they told me all was well. If all was well, why she is not eating? She has no fever. No weight loss. She also has not been urinating as often as she should. I only have to change her once or twice a day. She does not seem dehydrated. She has completely white eyes. She jerks her arms and legs pretty hard as if she is having a seizure? Or the infantile thing? She does not cry when it happens or anything though. I am concerned for her but where I live it seems no one knows what is or might be wrong with her. I am not getting any help. She is just little and cannot tell me what is wrong. I do not know what to do. I have been to more than one doctor in my area with no results. Please help.

Kindly help with my mother's fever and constipation.

Hi doctor,

My mother aged 70 years has been suffering from sore throat and fever for the last three days. The fever is not very high and it is around 100.5 degree Fahrenheit. She is taking Crocin for the same. She had slightly low platelet count around 1.38*10^3/microliter of blood as of yesterday morning. To give background, my father just recovered from a similar fever and his platelet count had dropped to around 78,000 and his fever got subsided in five days. But, the main problem my mother facing is that she is not passing stools since last four to five days. She normally has this problem, but it has been aggravated during fever. She has a previous history of constipation and takes some herbal medicine like Triphala. She also suffers from high BP and for which she takes Olvance 20 one tablet daily and her BP remains under control. Please suggest any safe laxative for her age and current condition of fever.

Can reduced feeding help cure 'pain while passing motions' in an infant?

Hello doctor,

My daughter is 1 month old. Her birth weight was 7.9 lbs. After 15 days, she weighed 3.8, and then later, she weighed 9.2 lbs. Now, her current weight is 9.5 lbs. She seems to pass drop by drop motion about 15 to 20 times a day, and she has some sharp pain followed by some intermittent pain while passing motions. We did a motion test today morning, and I have attached the lab report. Is it something that has to be worried about, or is it normal? What can be done to cure her pain while passing the motion?

We started giving syrup Ascazin 1 mL in the morning and at night as per the recommendation of the doctor. Also, we reduced feed from 10 to 12 times a day to 7 to 8 times a day. Will this cure her pain, or do we need to give any additional medications to her? Please advice. We have been giving Ascazin syrup for the past week. We are only breastfeeding from the beginning. There is no external milk. Please advise.
