CT scan of my brother showed small frontal fracture. Is emergency surgery required?

Hello doctor,

My brother had a bike accident. The ER (Emergency Room) doctor recommends that we need a CT (Computed Tomography) scan. We now have the results of the CT scan, and we consulted a Neurologist online about it. He suggests asking a Neurosurgeon because of the small fracture seen in his CT scan. Is his small fracture critical? How urgent is it? Do we need to go to the emergency now?

I am having pressure and metallic drainage from sphenoid. Could this be a CSF leak?

Can someone interpret the two please? I am having pressure and metallic drainage after the second image could this be a CSF (Cerebrospinal fluid) leak? Also why does my pituitary look lifted/ detached? One is taken before a month and it shows my pituitary enlarged but looking intact, before I had a blood patch done. The other is from this month 2 weeks after having a blood patch and it looks like my pituitary is lifted. I winded up having pressure building up in my head and had fluid draining down my throat and still do, however none of my physicians can detect the difference.

How is lower back pain due to spondylodiscitis treated?

Hello doctor,

My father is a heart patient who has been experiencing persistent low back pain. I would like to provide a detailed overview of his medical journey so far:

We initially consulted an orthopedic specialist who diagnosed early osteoarthritic changes. He prescribed calcium supplements, but after two weeks, there was no improvement in my father's condition.

Following this, we sought the expertise of a physiotherapist who recommended an MRI scan. After reviewing the MRI report, the physiotherapist prescribed some physiotherapy sessions, which provided partial relief from the pain. However, upon reviewing the MRI report myself, I noticed three specific findings: bilateral psoas muscle issues, bilateral psoas abscess, and hemangioma.

To explore further options, we consulted a neurologist who advised my father to engage in normal exercises and use a belt for support.

Despite these consultations and treatments, my father's pain persists, primarily localized in his lower back. Notably, the pain tends to intensify after waking up in the morning or during the evening, but it does not affect his mobility while walking. As of today, the back pain has become notably severe, and it radiates from his back to his legs. Currently, my father also takes medications for heart and tuberculosis.

Given the complex nature of my father's condition and the persistence of his pain, we are seeking your expert guidance on the next steps. Please help.

Thank you.

What could cause a colloid brain cyst?

Hello doctor,

Last week, I could not remember stuff, was confused, hard to find words to communicate with, had a headache and issues with my right arm, and I was feeling weakness in my right arm. Now I just have memory issues along with a headache. Two days ago I found out that I have a colloid brain cyst. I am currently on medications like tablet Wellbutrin and tablet Prozac. I have no medical history of this complaint. I underwent the regular blood work and the reports came out fine.

Thank you.
