What is the treatment for colloid brain cyst symptoms?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I read your query and understand your concern. Your CT (computed tomography) brain shows a 4-millimeter colloid cyst with no hydrocephalus (HCP) (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). Colloid cysts are known to cause temporary HCP (this gives rise to symptoms), HCP goes on and off, and a change in posture can be seen. As soon as the HCP (hydrocephalus) settles, the symptoms of the patient do improve.

How to manage Chiari malformation type 1 symptoms?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I feel sorry for your frequent headache issue, but the good thing is that we have a diagnosis, which is Arnold-Chiari type 1. You need to do a screening magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the spine to look for associated findings like a syrinx within the cord. Surgery is indicated in your case; this will help you significantly reduce your headache. It would help if you had frequent follow-ups with your neurosurgeon postoperatively.

How long does it take to recover after spinal fusion surgery?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I read your query and understood your concern. You have undergone spinal fusion surgery, and based on the reports you have attached (attachment removed to protect patient's identity), the surgical site seems to be healed well. In your case, lifting heavy weights should be avoided due to the weight transfer and the axis passing through the vertebral bodies and rods. The thin rods used in the procedure may have a risk of breaking, and there is a possibility of screws becoming visible or dislodging.
