I have burning sensation on my arm. Does this sound like MS or anxiety?

Hello doctor,

Since yesterday I have had this burning sensation in a patch on the side of my left arm. It is not warm to touch but an internal warm sensation that feels like you put a warm cup of coffee against a patch of skin for a second or two and then it goes away. It appears in a wave-like pattern. It shows up in one-two seconds, then it disappears for about 10-15 minutes, then shows up again. So it is not constantly present. It is not painful at all, just annoying and it is really sending my health anxiety off. Does this sound like multiple sclerosis (MS) or anxiety? I do not take any meds. No other symptoms.

Two strokes detected on the CT and MRI. How to deal with?

Hello doctor,

My 62-year-old mother had a slight cognitive impairment. She has the following medical conditions: High blood pressure for which she is on Concor 5 Plus. High blood glucose for which she is on Galvus 50 and Insulin. Three stents in her heart operated 18 months ago and she is on Plavix and Aspirin. We did computed tomography (CT) and contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the doctor told us there were two strokes. We need to know how to deal with her issues now. I have attached the report for your reference.

Please go through my dad's CT and tell me how long we can wait for surgery.

Hello doctor,

I am looking for a second opinion on my father's computed tomography (CT) scan (brain). He has been suffering from mild to severe headaches for about two weeks and is now diagnosed with a clot in his head that is causing a midline shift. I am uploading two sets of CT scan images, the first one on the 26th, where the midline shift was 0.48 inch, and the second scan on the 28th, which shows 0.37 inch. Please review the images and advise whether surgery is absolutely required at this stage. How long can they wait before surgery is to be decided? Can it be treated with medications as there is an improvement? He is still in intensive care, and his doctor is going to get another CT scan tomorrow. Meanwhile, I would like to get a second opinion.

I get dizzy rush sensations while looking at the computer or smartphone. Why?

Hello doctor,

I seem to be getting these dizzy rush sensations. They happen randomly throughout the day, but mostly when I am on the computer. It feels like an electrical pulse is surging up through the back of my head. I also feel dizzy turning side to side and when I get a headache, it feels like it is coming from deep within my left ear. It causes me to panic and get a lot of anxiety afterward. What could this electrical rush sensation be? Then, also, after I get it, I cannot look up too quickly because I feel very dizzy. It usually happens again, while typing on the computer or looking down at a smartphone.

A 72-year-old has an uncontrollable shaking of his hand. How can it be treated?

Hello doctor,

My father who is 72 years old has a problem of uncontrolled shaking of his right hand for the past three years. The problem has increased over the years and now he finds it difficult to hold the toothbrush also. Some works he can do without much difficulty like riding a scooter, sweeping with his right hand etc. But this problem is only increasing. He has consulted a neurologist after my insistence to rule out Parkinson's. The doctor assured that it is not that and gave some medication. This was about eight months back. But, there has been no improvement. My father does not have any other ailments. Of note, he only had a stent operation three years ago. Please let me know what is this problem called, how to treat this and is it curable?
