Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Three days ago, I got a strange feeling, like something was moving in my abdominal area. I also feel something moving in my esophagus when I swallow. I keep getting pain in my stomach and abdomen. Last night, I also got severe pain on the right side of the back of my head. Also, yesterday, some red thing that was half-moon in shape squirmed out of my belly button. It was very painful as it came out, and I took it wrapped in a napkin to a clinic. The doctor could not recognize it. I got an X-ray of the chest and abdomen done. Today another red thing squirmed out of my belly button, and I have severe abdominal pain and a headache. Also, I have blurred vision today and feel things coming in and out of my focus. What could be the reason? Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern and will surely help you out. I have reviewed the pictures you shared (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). From the pictures you sent, it looks like some fibers and not like any parasite or living organism. It would be better if the material coming out from your abdominal area was examined by a pathologist under a microscope with the proper stains. I would advise you to wait for the test results and discuss with your doctor regarding the pain. It is not possible to give a diagnosis without proper examination and investigations. The most common cause of your symptoms sounds like that of a hernia. A surgeon would be the best person to treat a hernia. I hope this helps. Thank you.
