Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Regarding my 30-year-old wife, she occasionally experiences pain in her abdominal area. She currently uses a belt recommended by her previous doctor. Would it be advisable to wait for two months before considering surgery, or should it be performed immediately? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

It appears that the last picture (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity) in the attachments is corrupted. Please contact icliniq support to have the picture resent for a proper assessment. According to the gynecologist's notes, it is important for your wife to be evaluated by a surgeon to assess the details of the hernia and its contents before determining the timing of any surgery. In case of severe pain around the area, abdominal distension, vomiting, or an inability to pass gas, it is important to seek immediate medical attention at a reputable hospital's emergency department as these symptoms could indicate a serious complication.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any further queries.

Thank you.

Probable diagnosis

Incisional Hernia
