Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have tender pain in my right abdominal area. I feel fine when I am still, but I can feel the tenderness if I move. I have been experiencing this for a few days and it was mild. But now, it feels more tender than usual.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are pleased to have you on board.

This could probably be just muscular pain, which will improve with analgesics. But if it persists, you have to think about possibilities like:

1. Renal Calculus- In this condition, sharp intermittent pain will radiate from the loin to the groin area

2. If it is in the upper right abdomen, then it could be gall bladder calculi which will feel very tender while pressing that area.

3. Acute Appendicitis or Mesenteric Adenitis or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease- It is usually associated with fever, vomiting, and severe pain in the lower right abdomen. Based on your symptoms, the possibility of this condition is very rare.

4. Torsion of Ovarian Cyst- There will be severe pain along with vomiting.

I suggest you take some analgesics and if the symptoms do not improve, take an ultrasound (USG) abdomen to rule out the above possibilities.

I hope you got answers to all the queries you had.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
