This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having trouble getting rid of acne and the frown lines between my eyebrows.

Please provide me with guidance.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern.

Pimples are somewhat hormonal and are caused by oily skin. Follow the tips:

  1. Do not use hair oil or any sticky cream on your face.
  2. Avoid oily food, chocolate, and dairy products.
  3. Avoid dust and use sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) 30.
  4. Do not rub any cream on your face.
  5. Avoid using steroid creams.
  6. Continue treatment for at least one month.
  7. Facewash or soap is not a treatment and is not very useful.
  8. Do not touch acne and avoid pressing it.

I will provide you with some treatment suggestions:

    1. Clindamycin gel - This is primarily preventive and curative, so I advise patients to apply it all over their face in the morning.
    2. Apply Adapalene gel at night specifically to the acne-affected areas.
    3. Take one tablet of Dox (Doxycycline) 100 mg once a day.
    4. Apply vitamin C serum every night for frown lines. Another option would be to consider a Botulinum injection on the forehead to eliminate the frowning area.

Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

Please feel free to follow up if you need any additional clarification.

Thank you.
