Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had more pimples on my face for the past month. I am extremely worried. What should I do now?
Kindly advise.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read the query and understand the concern.
From the description, it appears that there has been acne (pimples) on the face for about one month. This is a common condition and is usually manageable with proper skin care and appropriate treatment. However, a clear image of the affected area would help in assessing the type and severity of acne (whether comedonal, inflammatory, or another type) before suggesting specific treatment.
In the meantime, some general care measures can be followed. The face should be washed twice daily with a gentle cleanser or a Salicylic acid-based face wash. Touching or picking the pimples should be avoided, as this can worsen the condition and lead to marks.
A non-comedogenic moisturizer can be used regularly, along with a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the daytime. Oily creams, heavy makeup, and excessive face washing should be avoided.
If the pimples are red, painful, or increasing, topical treatments such as Benzoyl peroxide or Adapalene may be helpful. However, these should ideally be started after proper evaluation by a doctor.
It would be helpful to share a clear image of the affected area. Additionally, information about skin type (oily, dry, or combination), menstrual irregularities, and the use of any skin care products or medications would assist in guiding more accurate treatment.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.
Thank you.
