Can the hepatitis B vaccine cause severe side effects affecting the entire body?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
About five years ago, I was completely healthy but now I have been suffering from severe debilitating autoimmune side effects after taking the hepatitis B vaccine. I have symptoms such as flu, malaise, extreme exhaustion, fatigue, weakness, nausea, low back pain, sore throat, diffuse musculoskeletal pain, arthralgia, pain in multiple areas of my body, numbness followed by burning, lancinating pains and heaviness in my arms and legs, abdominal pain, dizziness, thorax pain, autonomic instability, short-term memory loss, headache, rapid heart rate, muscle spasm, sore shoulders, and problems with cognition and concentration. I also have pain while walking, running, or wearing shoes, clumsiness in my right hand and I have a sensation of having a band around me which is tightening. Taking rest does not improve any symptoms. What could this be? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. It is quite unusual to have this sort of long-standing symptoms of multiple systems with predominantly pain after vaccination. Usually, the symptoms will be transient, and recovers well. I think you might be having some other pathology like fibromyalgia. Kindly get evaluated for the same.
Thank you. I hope your query got resolved. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
