Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I recently developed multiple anal warts and rashes on my abdomen. I consulted the doctor and he gave me ointment acyclovir and tablet Valacyclovir 1000 mg. I want to know if I am not experiencing any symptoms related to genital herpes why he has prescribed me Valacyclovir 1000 mg. Please guide.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern. It appears to be a perianal abscess with minor erosions. Apply Mupirocin ointment twice daily for 20 days. Tablet Augmentin 625 mg twice daily after food for seven days. Use Cetrimide soap for bath for two months. Stop Acyclovir as it is not herpes, it is a minor secondary bacterial infection due to improper hygiene.

1. Wash the area with clean hands.

2. Use Antiseptic chlorhexidine wet wipes for two months to clean the area.

Answer the below questions for further treatment details.

1. Do you have any fever?

2. Are you on certain drugs?

3. Do you have any drug allergies?

4. Do you have any oozing?

5. Do you have pain in defecation?

Do reply to guide you better. I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Should I change the medicine then? Because I am very tense psychologically. I went to a surgeon and he said it is multiple anal warts because it appeared or spread around the anus and a little far from there also. Wart doesn't have pus-filled fluid, and I don't feel any symptoms. I do have rashes in the abdomen area but I don't know about the cause of the rashes (I have changed the place of living, which might be the reason, but the rashes are not itchy). I had intercourse but with my partner four months ago and then got a fissure. It recovered but then noticed these warts. Please help me, what should I do? Is it a matter of concern? And should I stop using ointment acyclovir and tablet Valacyclovir 1000 mg as it is not herpes? I do not have a fever. I have no pain while defecating.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

It appears to be a perianal abscess. Follow proper hygiene. Use barriers. Are you sexually active? Do reply to guide you further. I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello, doc,

Yes, I am sexually active but now since four months since I had this infection.

Hello,

I read your query and understand your concern. It appears to be Abscess due to Staphylococcus bacilli (a minor secondary bacterial infection). 1. Wear clean clothes.

2. Avoid contamination.

3. Decontaminate surroundings.

4. Do you have a fever?

5. Does your partner have similar complaints?

6. Do reply to guide you better.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I will stop using Acyclovir and follow this. There is no fever. No complaints were seen in the partner. Kindly tell me, even by any chance if it's warts (as doctor said while consulting), will it be gone by your medications? Because it appears white puss type because of flash. It is darker in color with no puss filled when we see through our eyes. I'll surely follow your protocol and get back to you. Kindly reply.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com

It is not warts. It is just a perianal abscess. Follow proper hygiene precautions as mentioned previously. Follow up for any doubts. Feel free to get back if you have more queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
