Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I twisted my ankle and have attached my reports below. What does it mean?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. The report does not show any fracture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) but if you can send me the picture of the film of the X-ray then I will be able to make out if there is a fracture or not. If there is no fracture there can be a ligament sprain which is to be treated the following way.

  1. Take tablet Piroxicam 20 mg once for 10 days after food.
  2. Take tablet Rabeprazole 20 mg once for 10 days before food.
  3. Take tablet Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D) 500 mg once for 30 days before food.
  4. Take tablet D-shine (cholecalciferol) 60k once daily for 10 days, then once a month for 11 months.
  5. Take these tablets only if you are not allergic to them. Also, do not take these tablets if you are a known case of bronchial asthma.
  6. You need to wear an ankle stirrup (air cast) all day long and can remove it at night.
  7. This pain usually takes about 10 days to reduce. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent. I hope this has helped you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
