Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 33-year-old woman with ankylosing spondylitis. The pain is unbearable some days. I have already had hip surgery, and they were talking about fusing part of my spine. I am terrified of becoming immobile. I am a dance teacher but had to stop working. The medicines help a bit, but the side effects are awful. Are there any new treatments? I have heard about biologics - are they worth trying? Also, I am worried about having kids someday. Is it safe to get pregnant with this condition? Any advice on managing the pain naturally? I am tired of taking so many pills.
Thanks.
