Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am anxious about changing the job after eight years of service, which is not so good from a career perspective. What can I do?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You should mention proper detail about your problem. For example, do you have anxiety due to a new job or anxiety because you did a job at the wrong place for eight years and feel guilty for it? You must leave if you are not doing a job that will not help your future. You have to be strong. Do not get stuck in the wrong place. Try something new. Move on from your boring life. Get excited about making new friends and colleagues. Think of positive views of a new job. I suggest, start daily exercise for 30 to 40 minutes. Then, go for a walk. Learn meditation or relaxation. Take a cold shower. Eat healthy food, and avoid junk food. Stay away from alcohol or any substance abuse. Take good sleep. Spend some time with your family daily. Accept new things if you can not change. Accept your nature. Go swimming. Develop good hobbies like painting, reading, writing, etc., and learn to be happy.

Take a visit before joining a new place where you will do a new job. Try to get information about your new colleagues or boss. If you still have anxiety, I suggest taking the tablet Clonazepam 0.5 mg sublingual half an hour before leaving your new place. It will help you to calm yourself down. But you must try this at home before trying it at the new place. It is a Benzodiazepine and sometimes causes sedation. If you feel drowsy, then take a half dose of it. Kindly consult with your physician before taking medicines.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.
