Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old female. Two years back, my whole body went numb for two minutes until my mom started rubbing the backside of my head. A possible reason, from my point of view, is I took my booster shot at the same time. I was practicing meditation, which required me to wear a belt (with big disc-like magnets inside it) on my head or maybe junk food. The next day, I visited a neurologist and got a CT scan and MRI. In the report, everything was normal. He gave me a blood thinner and suggested I do yoga every day because I got anxious. I was doing fine till then. After one year, again, my health deteriorated, but this time, I felt different symptoms. I kept feeling a tingling sensation (in my legs when I sat for some time) and jerking movement (still having it). Also, I was having trouble walking (walking by dragging my left foot) and pin and needle sensation sometimes. Again, I visited a general physician this time, who asked me to get an MRI of my whole spine. Everything was normal in the report. After six months of this, I went to a doctor because I was worried about my health. I got thyroid testing and a vitamin B12 deficiency test. This time, too, everything was normal. Lastly, two weeks ago, I argued with my sister and felt anxious after a few minutes. I woke in the middle of the night and felt something levitating over my head. I persistently felt anxiety, in complete consciousness, brushing just above my knees, often numbness (I feel that I can stop it when I stretch my head backward), and when I stretch my head, I can hear a sound (like bone cracking). I have blurred vision, too. I am really scared. Please tell me what is going on with me. And what can I do about it?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I would suggest you get physically examined and investigated to rule out any medical conditions and treat them accordingly. Check your vitals. Check blood pressure and maintain a blood pressure monitoring chart. Keep well hydrated. Walking, yoga, and exercise as health permits gradually will help. Deep breathing will help you calm down. Avoid stress-strain exertion lifting heavy weight rigorous exercise. Please share the latest reports to guide you in detail. Are you constipated? Avoid fried oily, junk food, alcohol, and non-veg. Take a light easily digestible home-cooked diet balanced well. Also, I would like to know a few things like are you a smoker, an alcoholic, or a non-vegetarian eater? Get physically examined by a psychiatrist as well. Are you able to sleep well as adequate sleep is important? Limit your screen time and get your eyesight tested. Also, rule out anemia. Talk to counselor friends or family.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
