Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 19-year-old female of 5'5 feet in height and weight of 111 pounds. I was previously diagnosed with anxiety and have been consulting a therapist. For the past few days, I have had intense anxiety. The attacks are different this time, and I constantly feel lightheaded, dizzy, short of breath, and nauseous. Only when I am entirely distracted do I not experience these things. Is something else going on here? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

With the information available, there is sufficient proof to conclude that it is anxiety, as all of the symptoms listed may be accounted for by anxiety. However, regarding any other thing to rule out, it is essential to see a doctor as many conditions can mimic anxiety disorder when it comes to clinical presentation. However, the existence of a regular period under distraction once more emphasizes the importance of psychological factors above all other considerations.

I hope this helps you. Feel free to revert if you have more questions or need a second opinion.

Thanks and regards.
