Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old male who has been drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes since I was 16 years old. Every day, I sleep for around five to six hours. The pain in my right arm started four months ago. I speculated that it may be related to heavy lifting or a restless night. The unease lingered. After I visited an emergency room, my doctor informed me that I had a bone lesion. He saw a little bulge on the X-ray that was scarcely noticeable and speculated that it may be the consequence of a previous event in which I might have somehow hurt my arm. Since cancer does not hurt, he claimed, it is a good thing that it does. He suggested I visit an orthopedic surgeon. I received Tylenol with Codeine from him for around ten days, after which I stopped taking medicine. While taking the prescription, I periodically started vomiting up and assumed it might be the pill. I have been vomiting nearly every day, if not every other day, for the past three weeks, but other than my arm ache, I feel alright. I feel uncomfortable and some odors make me want to vomit. I do not feel hungry, and after eating very little, I am already satisfied. I am just stressed out, which is making me puke up, and worry that I have cancer or maybe I just have a benign, non-cancerous bone tumor.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Without X-rays, it is difficult to assess your lesion. Therefore, I suggest you send us the X-ray reports for a reliable assessment. Take the following medication until then. Take a tablet of Ibuprofen 400 mg twice a day for five days after food, a tablet of Rabeprazole (20 mg twice a day for five days before food, a tablet of Ondansetron 4 mg twice a day for five days before food. Do not take any tablets if you are allergic to them and follow up with X-rays.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Differential diagnosis

The most porbable diagnosis can be - Traumatic

Benign lesion

Probable diagnosis

I suggest that the probable diagnosis can be decided after the X-rays.

Regarding follow up

I recommend you to follow up with the suggested X-rays.
