Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

When my baby was 70 days old, I accidentally dropped my phone, which weighs 0.5 pounds, on his forehead. I am worried that I may have caused damage. I immediately took him to the hospital, and the doctor examined him and said he seemed fine. The doctor instructed me to monitor him closely for the next 24 hours. He showed no changes, no bump, and he appeared normal. My baby is currently six months old, healthy, and developing normally. However, this incident still worries me. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I am glad that you took the baby to the doctor for examination. If the baby develops any symptoms due to the injury, these symptoms usually appear within 24 to 72 hours. It is less likely that the baby will develop any symptoms later in life, especially from a trivial trauma like this. The baby is absolutely fine, and I am confident there will be no problems related to this incident later in life. Another point to note is that the baby's body has a robust and faster healing power compared to adults. Do not worry and avoid unnecessary stress; it is not good for your health. You are taking good care of the baby.

I hope this helps. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
