Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been experiencing bad breath for quite some time and I never brushed my teeth. By 15 years old, I decided to brush my teeth every single day before school. I started doing oil pulling with coconut oil and started drinking plenty of water throughout the day (around two smart water bottles and a half) during school (between 8 am and 12 am). But I still have bad breath and it makes me wonder if there is an imbalance. I am 18 years old now and I went to the doctor to find out what was going on and he said that I have Candida. So, I used oregano oil every day which did not really work. I went again and the nurse said that I have a bacterial colony growing and the best way to clear it is to keep scraping it off (which I do). This makes me wonder whether I will be burdened with this horrible problem, or if it can be fixed since I would just like to know the blunt truth. If I cannot do anything about it right now, will it go away as I begin to grow older? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Well, you do not have to be this hard on yourself. Just maintain your oral hygiene properly and use mouthwash after brushing twice a day. Use a good metallic tongue cleaner that is available in the market. Use cardamom in your free time. Chew it to get a good breath as it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Rinse your mouth with salt water and turmeric mixture twice a day to reduce infection.
I wish you good health and happiness. Keep me updated about the improvements.
Thank you.
