Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

You have balanoposthitis with balanitis. Balanitis is inflammation of the glans penis. Balanitis involving the foreskin and prepuce is termed balanoposthitis. Predisposing factors include poor hygiene and overwashing, use of over-the-counter medications, and nonretraction of the foreskin. It may be associated with diabetes and candidal or fungal infections. Recommended investigations are assessment of blood sugar level and KOH (potassium hydroxide preparation) mount for candidiasis. I suggest you gently clean the penis and foreskin every day by softly retracting the foreskin and soaking them in warm water. Also, you can use a combination of Fusidic acid and Clotrimazole twice daily for one month. If balanitis does not respond to topical therapy, take Ketoconazole 200 mg twice daily for two weeks. Consult a specialist doctor, talk to them, and then take the medication. Please get a review with a picture for better evaluation and the best possible treatment for your concern.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.
