Barber's itch is a superficial fungal infection affecting the hair follicles on the beard region. It is otherwise known as tinea barbae. It presents ringworm-like rashes on the skin under the beard. The rashes remain circular with red scaly lesions causing itching and pain. Antifungal lotions and creams will help to treat it. In severe cases, oral antifungal medications are taken.
