Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My face is not crooked, but I have bell's palsy, and I also have discomfort in my ear and a stabby sensation in my throat. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

With regard to your history and doctor's advice, it seems you are having pharyngitis and otitis media infection of the middle ear. If you have completed the medication for seven days and your symptoms are still the same then you need a few more days of a higher group of antibiotics. The doctor has prescribed you an ear drop. It seems you are having an infection of the middle ear. Do you have any ear discharge history or running nose? If not then it is important to know infection of the throat can also lead to referred pain in the ear so it is important to treat the throat infection. I suggest taking the following medication

1) Tablet. Cefixime (dibasic calcium phosphate, hypromellose)- CV 325 mg BD for seven days (after meal).

2) Tablet. Levocetirizine (levocetirizine dihydrochloride) 5 mg for seven days ( at night ).

3) Gargle with betadine 1 % three times a day for seven days.

4) Tablet. Paracetamol Ibuprofen one tab three times a day for two days. Take steam inhalation daily. I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
