Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I experience vertigo when I am in bed. I have pain in my ear. I also have nausea and lightheadedness. This condition is only there when I move my head. Why is this happening? What is the possible treatment for my problem? This happened to me thrice in the past four years.
Please help.
Thank you for your guidance.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Your symptoms are suggestive of inner ear problems. How long does this vertigo last each time when you turn your head? Is there any blurring of vision? Your symptoms could be due to a problem with balancing organs inside your inner ear. This condition is called BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). You need to do some exercises called vestibular rehabilitation exercises. You can access them through the internet. They help you more than any kind of medication. These exercises will help you recover from vertigo.
I hope this addresses your concerns.
Please feel free to follow up if you need any additional clarification.
Thank you.
