Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 48, a healthy female. A large flat red rash appeared suddenly on both lower legs four days ago. I have swelling and pain in the lower leg. A little itching at times. No lesions or bumps present.
Kindly guide.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have noted your concern, and I have viewed the image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). You seem to have small vessel vasculitis. I suggest bed rest, an oral anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen, twice daily. In addition, I suggest you take an oral antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg tablet once every evening for a few days.
I hope this heps.
Thank you.
