Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 18 years old. I find it difficult to focus on my studies. I want to learn, but I have trouble focusing. My mind is basically blank, and I am becoming duller day by day. I want to achieve my objectives, but I am too lazy. I have finals in 25 days and have done absolutely nothing to prepare. Even my lack of preparation does not worry me.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Your brain knows that starting studies will cause stress because you will learn that there are many things that are still unresolved and need to be covered; as a result, your brain is avoiding them. But refrain from letting your brain use this unhealthy coping mechanism because it creates a backlog, which is a problem you are most likely already facing. So, I would suggest that you take a deep breath, break up your syllables, create a schedule for 25 days, attempt to cover as much material as you can, and do not worry or avoid the subject, since examinations are unavoidable and will start whether you are ready or not. You may listen to some motivating videos while waiting, and once you see your glass beginning to fill, remind yourself that you have 25 days to accomplish as much as you can.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
