Hello doctor,
I am 23 years old. I would like to consult or receive advice from an ENT doctor regarding my ear problem. There is a continuous sound inside my ear, like the sound inside a seashell or wind with some beating sound. I consulted an ENT doctor last week, but he only gave me a prescription to take Decolgen for five days with no effect or result on my right ear. I am now worried because I feel it is getting worse. Sometimes I feel dizzy, and I cannot concentrate on my work if the surrounding is so quiet. I am seeking your help and advice on my situation. Thank you very much.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern. Any sound in the ear without an external stimulus is called tinnitus. There are multiple types of tinnitus and treatment depends on the type of tinnitus and whether it is associated with other symptoms like impairment in hearing or vertigo. So we need to get your case investigated thoroughly to get to an exact diagnosis so that we can proceed on the right track of treatment. For a start, I suggest you get a pure tone audiometry and impedance audiometry done. On the basis of these reports we can plan further course of action. Hope this has addressed your concern. Follow back with reports. Kind regards.
