Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Please help me to cure acne on my butt. I have been using glycolic acid cream and Tretin A, but I have seen no quick results. But I could not use it regularly. I also have strawberry legs and hyperpigmentation between my thighs. Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do you mean to say you have bumps or acne on your buttocks? It can be folliculitis, furuncle, molluscum, ingrown hair, tinea, or keratosis pilaris. The list goes on and on. I may not be able to help you unless I see the picture and make a precise diagnosis. I would suggest you attach your clinical picture along with your query. Please answer the questions listed below so that it is convenient for me to comment on your condition and give you appropriate suggestions. How long has it been there? Do you shave the hair in that area? Is it painful? Or Itchy? Usually, the skin folds, like armpits and groin, will be a little darker compared to the skin over other parts depending on the genetics and ethnic background. You can also add a picture of your legs for me to look at and provide information regarding that condition.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
