Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 18 years old and I have somewhat mild acne and often oily skin. I have had acne for about two years but this year it got worse. Some topical medications I have used in the past are Trimethoprim, Sulfamethoxazole-F, Adapalene gel, and Differin. I have tried almost every drugstore prosecutor out there and nothing seems to work. Products I use at this moment are Cetaphil gentle foaming facial cleanser, Witch hazel, and aloe vera plant on my face every night. I have been doing this for only three days, and do not see much of a difference yet. I wrote this because I want a final solution to at least control my acne. As it messes with my self-esteem.
Hi,
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
I have gone through your case. Well, first of all, be patient. You need to understand acne is common in your age and it is an ongoing process, and you may experience frequent exacerbation due to stress and hormonal. It occurs due to hormonal activity at puberty. So, you may not get final medicine or final decision. And the problem may last until your twenties. Moreover, you have taken too much of medicine which may be another reason for resistant acne. Just stick to one. Apply Clindamycin gel two times a day on the pimple. Use Cetaphil cleaner.
Thank you for consulting me.
