Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a question about cherry angioma. I just noticed two cherry angiomas on my stomach and wanted a professional opinion. My father had a large cherry angioma on his chest, similar to a pimple. I am currently taking the following medications.

1. Alprazolam.

2. Pristiq.

3. Carvedilol.

4. Entresto.

5. Farxiga.

6. Trazodone.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Cherry angioma is a noncancerous (benign) skin growth made up of blood vessels. They are common skin growths that vary in size and can occur almost anywhere on the body. Cherry angiomas usually develop on the trunk and are most common after 30 years of age. The cause is unknown, but they tend to be inherited. As they are harmless, no treatment is required. However, radio-frequency cautery and a carbon dioxide laser can be used to remove the lesions.

I hope I was helpful to you.

Thank you.
