How to deal with chest discomfort and pain in the nipples?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having chest discomfort for the past three days. I feel as if there is a bruise inside my chest. I also have pain at times if I touch near my nipple or on the side or under the breast or nipple. I often feel a stabbing pain in the middle that lasts for one second. I had a cough for a long time, and I coughed up a little blood during that time. The cough persisted for four days, but now the cough has gone, as has the coughing up of blood. I had a 20-hour plane journey, after which I was having chest discomfort. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern, and I will help you with your query.

Actually, it can be associated with traveling. Due to traveling, there can be chest discomfort, and the causes can be extra acid formation in the stomach and muscle pain. So, do not worry. You will be fine in two to three days. I suggest you take the following:

  1. Tablet Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day before breakfast.
  2. Tablet Aceclofenac and Paracetamol once after your meal (take whenever you have pain).

Take these for three days.

Please let me know about the following:

  1. Do you have difficulties in passing stool?
  2. Do you feel nauseous?

I hope you had a pleasant experience at icliniq. I will always be available to answer any further queries you may have.

Thank you.
