Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 28-year-old male suffering from left-sided chest pain while stretching or twisting my left side chest for five days. I do not have the chest pain while breathing in or out and walking. This pain started gradually when I coughed loudly in the morning before five days. The pain feels like coming from inside of the muscles or ribs but I am not sure from where it occurs. I consulted with a physician. As per doctor's advise I did ECG and standard chest X-ray. It shows normal in both reports. Doctor said that I may have muscle or rib spasm and gave me some medicines for seven days (Chlorozoxazone, Paracetamol and Pantop D). I took the medicine but it did not work. Please suggest me what to do. I also want to tell you that I am a diabetic patient and taking medicine Glimepiride 1 mg, Lintor, and Metformin 500 mg regularly and my diabetes is in under control always. Please suggest to me a medicine to solve this problem. Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. It is good to see that you underwent few important tests, and they came out normal. A sudden cough could have caused pain in the chest muscles. Most probably, it is musculoskeletal pain. As you have taken Chlorzoxazone and Paracetamol, it should have worked.
I would suggest you the following,
Follow up if necessary.
Thanks.
