How to manage gallbladder stones in diabetics?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a diabetic, and now, I have 3 to 5 mm of gallbladder stone. I am taking homeopathic medicines. I experience weakness, heaviness in my abdomen, and loss of appetite due to grade II fatty liver according to my USG report. Due to the stones in my gallbladder, I experience two times pain in my entire stomach and some heaviness in the abdomen. I am taking half a tablet of Gluconorm G1 in the morning and evening and Tenagliptin 20 Liv t homeopathic syrup. I have attached my ultrasound, urine routine, and blood test reports.

Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

As per the available information, you can postpone the surgery for now and rely only on the medication. Your sugar levels are high with HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) and high post-prandial levels. Other values can be taken care of later once your diabetes comes under control. Consult a physician in person for a complete analysis and better management of the condition.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Treatment plan

Take tablet Gluconorm G2 20 minutes before breakfast, tablet Galvus Met 50/500 20 minutes before dinner, and tablet Udiliv 300 mg for 15 days.

Regarding follow up

Have a follow-up after ten days with at least four to five readings with a glucometer.
