Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have pain under my eyes. I have consulted an ophthalmologist who said there is no problem in my eyes. However, the pain is constant. I have had a sinus problem and catch a cold very quickly. What can be the reason for my under-eye pain? Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. The pain can be due to sinusitis, as the maxillary sinuses are located just beneath the eye. An inflammation of the maxillary sinuses is called maxillary sinusitis. I suggest you get a CT (computed tomography) scan of the PNS (paranasal sinus cavity) axial, coronal, sagittal 0.5 mm cuts to know the extent of inflammation and treatment plan. Till then, you need to use antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, and nasal decongestants. I hope this helps. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
