Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Check on medications you have been on, health issues you have been through, and symptoms you have noticed. In addition to all the above, have:

  1. Cervical smear.
  2. A high vaginal swab.
  3. A local hysteroscopic examination.
  4. A transvaginal scan.
  5. Thyroid function test.
  6. Complete blood count.

Collect all laboratory reports and discuss them here.

Hormonal contraceptive pills taken for a long time can cause the same side effects as you have. However, you can change the contraceptive medication if you use it for a long time.

You can also use an intrauterine contraceptive device that gradually reduces bleeding periods and could give scanty or absent periods after six months to a year. You can have it and use it for one year, although you could place it for three years.

You can have a tablet of Tranexamic acid 500 mg and a tablet of Ponstan (Mefenamic acid) 500 mg 8 hourly for 2 to 5 days as per symptoms. You can consult your specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent. Have a healthy diet, daily walk, exercise, and try to have a normal BMI (body mass index).

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
