I recently did my composite filling. The white part of the filling looks like something is stuck on it and gives the same feeling. It does not look normal, and it also irritates.

I did not have any primary or milk teeth in the region. Yes, I do feel uncomfortable with that filling. I got the filling done because they told me there was a cavity in that tooth, but I do not think it needed filling.

Please enclose a close-up picture zooming into that area. Incorrect filling can be a cause of both gum and tooth infections. If this filling makes you feel tight and uneasy, it might not be the best choice.

My dentist said this is a temporary filling, and I will have a permanent filling tomorrow. Should I get this removed? And not get a permanent one? Please help.

Despite being a temporary filling, they filled it improperly. Before receiving the permanent filling tomorrow, ensure the existing filling is positioned correctly about your tooth; it should not be protruding or sticking outwards. If you feel any discomfort or irritation after the filling, immediately tell your dentist that you are uncomfortable with it and ask them to shape and fit the filling till you feel comfortable with your tongue and cheeks. You should get the permanent filling done, as not doing so can lead to further cavitation, and it will only grow deeper and might lead to a root canal.
Since it is in the filling stage, finish it quickly. But ensure that the filling is comfortable and should be straight inside the tooth. It should not be of a different shade or color or just outwards of the tooth. These are called Class 3 composite anterior fillings. So tell your dentist you have taken a second dental opinion and ask them to fill it according to your comfort and esthetics too.

If you doubt the filling, you can ask further questions. I suggest filling it if you have sensitivity because the cavity looks deep. Either way, you must get a filling, or you can go for RCT (root canal treatment). Do get it filled.
