Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am aged 24-year-old. I smoke three cigarettes daily and drink once weekly. But I also go to the gym. I am active in physical fitness and I weight lifts at the gym every alternate day. Last week I got chest pain while working out and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure with only 20% heart function. How long will I live? Will I survive with any treatment? What should I do to lead a better life now? Please advise me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sorry to hear this. Please share your echocardiography and ECG (electrocardiogram), and I will ask some questions regarding your issue; only then I can tell you the prognosis. There are many causes of heart failure; some are reversible, but most are irreversible. Nowadays, there are lots of newer medicines that can improve the heart's function. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
