Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
The patient has a family history of heart illness and wants to know about any relevant discoveries, particularly the calcium score of the ventricles. The patient was a smoker for over 20 years, recently quit, and wants to understand the state of his lungs and check for anomalies. If the thyroid is visible, please investigate.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I appreciate your concern regarding the post-smoking-related cardiac and chest changes. A low-dose contrast medium was used to evaluate the calcification score. No significant calcification was observed in the heart valves. No significant calcification was observed in the pulmonary vasculature. Only a few specks of calcification were noted in the pulmonary artery.
The findings suggest minimal calcification limited to the pulmonary artery, with no significant calcification in the heart valves or pulmonary vasculature.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
