Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My two-year-old son is experiencing a cough, cold, and fever. His cough is causing discomfort. Additionally, my mother-in-law has been dealing with a cough for the past five to six days. I am seeking recommendations for medicines for both of them. My recent medical history involves experiencing coughing for the last four to five days, and now, my chest makes noise while coughing. I am currently using Montair LC Kid for colds, Levolin Plus syrup for cough, and Alcinac P for fever. Kindly help. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am sorry to hear about your baby boy and mother-in-law feeling unwell. Here are some general suggestions that might help alleviate their symptoms:
Keep your baby well-hydrated by offering fluids like water, breast milk, or formula frequently.
Use a humidifier or vaporizer in the rooms they spend time in; this can ease congestion and coughing.
Consider using saline nasal drops or sprays for your baby to clear nasal passages, and gently use a bulb syringe to remove mucus.
Encourage plenty of rest and provide a comfortable environment to aid recovery.
Regarding nebulization with Budecort and Duolin for your baby's cough and cold symptoms, though I cannot provide medical advice or recommend specific medications, it might be a consideration.
In the meantime, following the mentioned general suggestions such as keeping them hydrated, using a humidifier, and ensuring comfort can often provide some relief for cough and cold symptoms.
I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
