Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I suffer from health-related anxiety. I got infected with covid, today is my first day experiencing the symptoms, and the heart rate scares me. It is over 100 bpm when resting and relaxed. After that, it goes up to 140 bpm and sometimes to a low value like 80 bpm. I want to know if this is something to worry about or if I am panicking. I also have a fever, so that is scary too. I am currently taking Xanax, Paroxetina, Zentiva, and Denille. Can you please help me?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. However, I do not find any reason for you to worry about your heart rate. When the temperature rises by one degree, the rate will increase by 10 to 16 beats per minute. I suggest you drink plenty of oral fluids and keep yourself hydrated. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
