Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother is 77-years-old and tested positive for COVID Rapid Test. I am attaching her blood reports and COVID rapid tests reports for your opinion on this. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I read your query and understand your concern. According to your statement, your mother has become COVID 19 positive by undergoing COVID Rapid Test. Therefore, only symptomatic treatment is needed for COVID 19 positive patients. According to the investigation report (attachment removed to protect patient's identity), no treatment is required. But, if your mother is suffering from fever, then Paracetamol or Acetaminophen is needed. If your mother is suffering from cough or sneezing, antihistamines like Fexofenadine, Loratadine, or Cetirizine may be required. As Covid 19 infection affects the respiratory system predominantly, if your mother has been suffering from cough, she must undergo High-Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) of the chest to exclude COVID pneumonia on the fifth to the eighth day. Antiviral medication may be needed for curing COVID pneumonia. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
