Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old woman. I have a 12-month-old daughter, and I am presently breastfeeding. I have two concerns.

Firstly, I do not have an even skin tone. My eyebrows, nose, and skin around my lips are all dark, but my cheeks are lighter.

Second, my lips are not of the same shade. My upper lip is darker in color, while my bottom lip is lighter. I have not taken any medications yet, but I want my skin tone to be even throughout my face and my lips to be pink. Kindly help me, as I am concerned about the color of my skin.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Lip hyperpigmentation appears to be caused by a vitamin deficit or exposure to an irritating substance.

  1. For two weeks, apply a lip balm with SPF (sun protection factor) at night.
  2. For 20 days, take one Epiglow (multivitamin) tablet after breakfast.
  3. For four weeks, use a good lip scrub twice a week.
  4. Consume lots of water.

I hope this helps. Thank you.
