Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My last period was delayed by 50 days. I got bleeding after taking Deviry medicine, and the bleeding was more than regular but lasted for two days. My period cycle usually lasts for five to six days. Previously, I had protected sex and also took the pill.. After the bleeding, I experienced sleep issues and headaches for a few days. Now, I am fine, but I have not got my period this month. Can you please help me understand this situation? How can I make my periods as regular again? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Before starting any treatment, it is essential to first identify the underlying cause. We cannot simply take hormonal medicines without proper evaluation. Delayed periods are frequently associated with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), hypothyroidism, and anemia. I suggest getting an ultrasonography (USG) pelvis scan, thyroid profile, and complete blood count (CBC) done to determine the appropriate course of treatment.

I hope this helps.

Please revert in case of other queries.

Thank you.
