Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period one year after my delivery. But after that, it was almost two months, but I still did not get my periods. Kindly suggest some way to regularize the periods.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would suggest getting a pregnancy done first. Then, once that has been ruled out, we can look for another cause for your amenorrhoea or no period. Are you breastfeeding regularly? Ovulation and hence periods can be irregular or absent when breastfeeding. Finally, if none of these natural causes are responsible for your lack of period, I suggest an ultrasound to evaluate the ovaries and endometrial thickness. Do you have a history of acne or facial and belly hair? Were your periods regular before you had your child?

Thank you.
