Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period for three days last month. I had protected sex after four days of my periods. He did not ejaculate and the condom did not tear off or break anything like that, just to be sure I took a contraceptive pill within 12 hours. I had bleeding after six days of it for three days. Now it is been more than a month, and I still have not gotten my period. When should I expect my period?

Thank you.

Hello

Welcome to iclniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Your period has been delayed due to the intake of contraceptive pills. So long as you are sure there is penetration involving ejaculation and you have a condom, there would not be any need to take contraceptive pills. One of the side effects of contraceptive pills is a change in menses date. But to rule out any hormonal changes, please do a hormone profile test and reply to me with the result and kindly take tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg once a day to see your menses. If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
