Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have to get a few fillings in my teeth. I would usually consider myself to have good teeth. Are fillings a bad thing? Are my teeth still fine? Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Naveen Thomas

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

A dentist does fillings. Fillings are good if they are done to close cavities or else bad. When you already have some cavities, which need to be restored to prevent infection from spreading deep into the teeth.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you. How common are fillings? Should I be worried I have some?

Answered by Dr. Naveen Thomas

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Nearly everybody has a filling (restoration) done on their teeth. So it is very common. I suggest you not worry. Just take care of yearly checkups to clean your teeth and gums and check whether those restorations are intact or need repair.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
