How to manage depression, sadness, loneliness, and anger?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from depression, sadness, loneliness, and anger. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

First of all screen yourself for clinical depression. Do a self-rating test of depression like Zung's self-rating depression scale which you can easily find on the internet. If it is indicative of moderate to severe depression, consult a psychiatrist in person for detailed evaluation and treatment. Besides that, certain things that can help are:

  1. Daily meditation for at least half an hour in the morning can help.
  2. Give at least one hour daily for your hobbies.
  3. Share your feelings with family or close friends as sharing helps a lot. If not feasible then maintain a stress diary and daily log down your thoughts uncensored.

Remember every problem has a solution you just need to try solving it and help is just a step away.

I hope this helps you. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
