Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from depressive dissociation and anxiety for the last four years. Medicines are not helping anymore, and my doctor has suggested brain stimulation therapy, so I need an opinion on that. Currently, I am taking Lamotrigine, Clonazepam, and Amisulpride. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Brain stimulation therapy is used when there is a resistant psychiatric illness. Have you taken all types of antidepressants in proper doses and for enough duration to have an effect? Please tell me about the medications and treatment history so I can suggest something better and new for you. Also, have you tried psychological therapy or sessions to deal with your depression and anxiety? Brain stimulus therapy is good but it is the last option if there is no treatment left.

Do the following blood tests.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you want some help.

Thanks and take care.

Investigations to be done

1. CBC (complete blood count). 2. Thyroid profile. 3. Vitamin B12. 4. Vitamin D3.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
