Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 20-year-old guy, and it has been quite some time since I had a left ear problem. I noticed in certain situations I have a sharp pain in my left ear, especially when a group of people laughs simultaneously. I have not been exposed to any loud music recently. Please help. Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. 1. Does the sharp pain stop on its own? 2. Do you have to take medicines? 3. Do you have any hearing problems? 4. Is there any ear discharge? 5. Is there any ringing noise inside the ear? 6. Is there giddiness or loss of balance? When someone hears a loud noise, he may get hearing loss and pain. However, a group of people laughing cannot produce such high decibels of sound to cause damage. 1. Have you done any hearing tests? 2. Have you had any ear complaints before? 3. Do you have nose block, running nose, and throat pain? 4. Any problem with your ear when you take a flight? Please take time to think and provide answers to all the questions I have asked because these are necessary to make a decisive diagnosis if I have to do it without looking into the ear. If you have any reports about the ears or hearing, you may please attach those. I hope this information will help you. Thanks.
