Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a tubal pregnancy over five years ago, and one of my tubes that is remaining is blocked. What could I do to get it unblocked? Due to tubal pregnancy, the left side tube was removed. The remaining tube that is left is not opening and closing properly. I was unable to conceive in the last four years with my husband though I have unprotected sex every night and am still unable to conceive.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

The risk factor I see in your history is your age (above 35 years reduces pregnancy chance, but till 40 years chance of pregnancy is still better). Tubal pregnancy usually occurs due to some damage to the interiors of the tube. So that led to tubal pregnancy and also to the block of other tubes. I suggest you either can have hystero-laparoscopy and tubal cannulation to go for IUI (intrauterine semination) following that, or else you can opt for IVF (in vitro fertilization), where the tube is not needed.

Hope I have clarified your query, do write back if any more queries and for your feedback.

Best regards.
