Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I took a 72-hour pill eight hours after intercourse, nine days back. Now I am feeling nausea, stomach upset, and pelvic cramps.

What could be the reason? Please help me.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Side effects of the emergency contraceptive pill are nausea, vomiting, headache, and abdominal pain but as per your dates these symptoms will not stay this long, it stays only for a maximum of two to three days. So there must be some other reasons for this. I suggest you take tablet Pan D (Pantoprazole) before meals twice daily for three days.

Have small intermittent meals instead of taking big meals. If it is getting difficult to take solid food then have a more liquid diet like juices, and keep yourself hydrated take at least three liters of water per day.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask further queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
